Apple Grafting Workshop with John Goeke and Mark Shepard
Students will have the opportunity to graft two apple trees to take home (additional rootstock and scionwood will be available for purchase). A discussion of varieties, rootstocks, and production methods, including permaculture, biodynamics, and organics. Tour Sylvan Meadows fruit orchards, including apples, pears, cherries, plums, and small fruits. Outdoor class: dress for the weather.
