The idea of the DFS Forum is to provide an online space for the community growing up around the Driftless Folk School to connect and converse. Some of the uses imagined for this service are:
--to continue and expand conversations and friendships started in DFS classes,
--to connect DFS course participants seeking advice from instructors and fellow students,
--to connect people seeking advice about a particular project, art, craft, or skill with people with specific knowledge and experience,
--to connect people wishing to buy, sell, or barter "folk skill-type" goods (charcoal, seeds, spinning wheels, dulcimers, flyrods... you get the idea) and services (barnraising, farm help, horseshoeing, fiddlers for your wedding, etc.).
