DETAILS
For generations, people of German ancestry in the ridge country near La Crosse have made what they call “woosht” or “wurst,” which simply means “sausage” in German. These are large pork/venison ring sausages which are stuffed into natural casings and smoked in a backyard smokehouse. Come and be a part of a joyous early winter tradition and go home with some delicious homemade charcuterie. A great first class for beginning sausage makers.

Sustainer Level Ticket: $50
If you are able to meet your needs with relative ease while budgeting your educational and entertainment spending – for instance, you are able to take classes and eat out occasionally as long as you are mindful – consider paying at this level, which will help sustain the work of the Folk School at a modest level.
Supported Level Ticket: $35
If you struggle to fund your basic needs and have limited access to resources in your family and community, or if you would not be able to access this offering without a discounted payment option, consider paying at this level. We value your presence and contributions to our community and do not want any economic circumstances to be a barrier to attendance!

From Viroqua:
Take 14/61 toward La Crosse for approx 17 miles. Turn east onto Cty P immediately after entering Coon Valley. (heading East) and follow until you find Cty PI. (Note: you will be able to watch for signs leading you to Norskedalen Heritage Center). Turn onto Cty PI and drive up the hill, past Norskedalen and around the bend at the top to find home of Vince and Dawn Hundt (first farm on the left at the top of the hill).
