Become a part of the hallowed Wisconsin tradition of deer hunting and learn how to take advantage of an abundant local source of all-natural meat. Local hunters will harvest a number of healthy deer for the class and students will learn how to skin and de-bone the animal, as well as how to identify, process, and preserve steaks, stew meat, and meat for grinding.

Supporter Level Ticket: $65

Sustainer Level Ticket: $50
If you are able to meet your needs with relative ease while budgeting your educational and entertainment spending – for instance, you are able to take classes and eat out occasionally as long as you are mindful – consider paying at this level, which will help sustain the work of the Folk School at a modest level.
Supported Level Ticket: $35
If you struggle to fund your basic needs and have limited access to resources in your family and community, or if you would not be able to access this offering without a discounted payment option, consider paying at this level. We value your presence and contributions to our community and do not want any economic circumstances to be a barrier to attendance!
Instructor Bio — Vince Hundt
Vince Hundt is a native son of the Driftless Region, born and raised on a dairy farm near Middle Ridge. For nearly 50 years, he and his wife Dawn have farmed organically and stewarded the land with artistic grace at St. Brigid’s Meadow Farm, near Coon Valley, WI. During those years, they have raised a family of four children and started several successful innovative equipment businesses, including Rotochopper and Shade Haven. They have also served as key leader and supporters of several cultural organizations in the Driftless Region, including Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School, Youth Initiative High School, Thoreau College, and the Driftless Folk School.
