Traditional Tool Sharpening Workshop, with Jon Anderson

  • Viroqua, WI, 54665 United States (map)

Want to learn to sharpen your tools? No experience needed. Taught by Jon Anderson of Star Hill Timberworks, this workshop is designed for beginners. In this hands-on workshop, we teach you to sharpen your knives, axes, chisels, and auger bits. The techniques work just as well on mower blades, scissors, shovels, hoes, etc. You will use traditional and modern sharpening methods to hone and polish the edge. All sharpening equipment and materials are provided.

For those interested, we will have sharpening supplies (stones, guides, etc.) available at the workshop for purchase.

Date: Saturday, May 24
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Ages: 12+
Location: Viroqua, WI

Instructions: You will need sturdy work shoes, gloves, and safety glass. Feel free to bring along any equipment you would like to try your hand at sharpening. This class will take place in a covered workshed, protected from the elements but not completely climate controlled, so please consider the weather and dress accordingly.
