Details

Have you ever wondered how nurseries get their hanging baskets so big and beautiful? Come spend an afternoon getting your hands dirty and learn behind the scenes tips and tricks to create two of your own hanging baskets to adorn your home this summer. We will discuss design elements of hanging baskets, how to choose appropriate plants, care and upkeep, tips on placement, shade vs sun baskets and so much more! Students will create two hanging baskets each, and 20$ for each additional hanging basket. After the workshop we will keep your hanging baskets to finish growing for 6-8 weeks in the greenhouse, then they will be ready for you to take home! Students will have the chance to pick out their own plants for their creations, the price of plants will not be included in class cost, we ask that students bring their own hanging baskets, we will have plain hanging baskets available. The cost of the class covers soil, fertilizer, instruction, and greenhouse space dedicated to growing your planters.
