Wild Foods, Wild Medicine: 2-day Immersion with Linda Conroy

  • La Farge, WI, 54639 United States (map)

Join forager and herbalist Linda Conroy for this two-day immersion, focusing on the plants that grow around us.

Day 1 will focus on herbs and wild food for nourishment. We will learn to identify, harvest, and prepare the plants that promote and build health. As part of this day, we will prepare a wild/herbal/whole food lunch. Lunch preparation will be part of the learning experience.

Day 2 will focus on herbal medicine. We will take a wild plant walk, learning to identify medicinal plants that grow around us. We will talk about ways to differentiate the nourishing and the medicinal herbs as well as how to best prepare them for optimal benefit. As part of this walk, we will learn to engage our senses to explore plant qualities. Lunch will be served and will include wild/herb/whole foods. The later part of the day will be spent making herbal medicines that participants will be able to take home.

This will be a fun and full weekend. Everyone will leave with nourishing and medicinal herbal preparations that can be used at home. Come prepared to be fully immersed in the plant world!
